Join Peoples Bank Friday, December 5th at 6:30pm as we light up the town with Christmas Spirit at the Town Christmas Tree Lighting with the big man himself, Santa Claus, and a special helper wave their wand to magically light the tree in the downtown square. Afterwards, all are welcome to the Matheson Memorial Library for the Peoples Bank sponsored Santa and Mrs. Claus Reception. Enjoy free hot chocolate, cookies, music and crafts while the kids wait for their turn to tell Santa what they want for Christmas. Parents don’t forget to bring your cameras to capture this memorable moment.

The 2014 Holiday Light Display presented by the Stoughton Fire Department will be illuminated at Stoughton Rotary Park at the corner of 6th and Jefferson St., just east of the Fire Station. The display features new additions for 2014 with the 100,00 lights! All of the lights will be sequenced to your favorite holiday music, broadcast over 88.5 FM radio. Stroll down to the park or view it from your auto.

This event is packed with free & fun activities! Beginning at 3pm on Friday night, the festival offers free photos with Santa, fire rings for hot dog and marshmallow roasting, kettle corn, a tree lighting, an Arts & Crafts Show, free carriage rides, Ice sculpting, free cookie decorating, tattoos, and face painting for kids, food stands (that include chili, walking tacos, s'mores, hot chocolate), a free petting zoo, 50/50 raffle, Cindy Lou Who costume contest, a decorated pet contest, a free lighted parade (that includes Santa, the Grinch, Ronad McDonald and contestants from Cindy Lou Who), a frozen t-shirt contest, a bake sale, breakfast with Santa, free home tours, and a Christmas Cookie Walk!

Kick off Stoughton’s Victorian Holiday Weekend with an evening of holiday delight in support of the American Cancer Society at 206 W. Prospect Street. Enjoy complimentary hor d’oeuvres, cash bar, and fabulous silent auction with proceeds going to the Relay for Life of Stoughton/Oregon/McFarland. Donations of good will accepted upon entry.

    The Victorian Holiday Arts and Crafts Show and Sale is sure to be a crowd- pleaser. This popular event will be held at River Bluff Middle School, 235 N. Forrest Street. Concessions are available or sample some of the many treats area restaurants will be making for the Victorian Holiday Celebration. This Holiday Arts Show is always a huge success receiving accolades from visitors near and far.

    Stoughton High School Madrigal Singers, in full period costume, stroll through the downtown shopping area singing holiday music.

    Kids and parents, make your way to The Next Generation, 161 E. Main Street for a special children's activity!
  • Festively Illuminated Fire Truck Parade
    Saturday, Dec. 6, 5:30pm
    Area fire departments get into the holiday spirit by decorating their fire trucks with lights and music! The parade pits fire departments from Stoughton and neighboring communities all vying for top truck decorations. The parade begins at the Wal-Mart parking lot and continues downtown on Main Street. It ends at the fire station where you can enjoy hot cider and homemade cookies, and visit with Santa.
  • Breakfast with Santa
    Sunday, Dec. 7 from 8am – 12pm
    Come have a pancake breakfast with Santa at the American Legion, 803 N. Page Street! All you can eat pancakes, French toast, scrambled eggs, sausage, milk, juice and coffee! The Stoughton High School Madrigal Singers will perform every hour, and proceeds from the event will go toward the music program. **$8 adults, $4 for kids under 10.

The Verona Lions will welcome Santa to town in Verona. The morning will start with a light breakfast available at 9:30. At ten o’clock the very popular Wayne the Wizard will take the stage and amaze all ages with his magic act. Santa will arrive at 10:30 and families will have an opportunity to visit with him until noon. Wayne the Wizard will stay around and create balloon objects for the children while they wait to talk with Santa. Throughout the morning members of the Lions Club will provide free children’s vision screening using the latest in digital screening equipment. Don’t forget to bring your cameras and get photos of your children or grandchildren with Santa.
